Aims & Objectives

  • To identify and understand the social care needs of people living within the communities in which we are providing services and to respond to them ensuring availability of relevant services to promote their independence and wellbeing, ensuring quality and cost effective services.

  • To support vulnerable people in their own homes and acknowledge their personal lifestyle.

  • To work in partnership with service users, their families, carers, primary health care colleagues and other professionals in the provision of care.

  • To operate in partnership with, and to work within, the Council’s statutory policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • To meet and attempt to surpass the requirements set out by the Department of Health in the Domiciliary Care National Minimum Standards.

  • To work ethically as laid out in the Care Council for Wales codes of practice and to consider at all times as an employer in health and social care - recruitment, policies and procedures, training of staff, equal opportunities and promoting the codes of conduct.

  • To use and develop IT software systems in order to manage client and staff members information, so we may allocate successfully.

  • To train and to develop staff with the skills and knowledge necessary. Starting with a comprehensive induction, this is essential and is provided to enable and support new staff to feel confident in carrying out their work competently.

  • To develop a service which is recognisable for its contributions in the community, its co-operation with all parties involved and its high standards in providing care.
